The mind holds immense power in influencing all aspects of your life. Not only is it powerful to change yourself, it can also influence the things around you to help bring positive changes into your life. Whenever you wish and hope for something, you are actually using the power of the mind without realizing it.
Whenever you are daydreaming about something, and then it happens, that is the power of your own mind. Ever go to bed and as you fall asleep say to yourself, 'I have to get up and such and such time,' and then end up waking when you wanted too? This also is a perfect example of the subconscious mind at work.
In fact the more scientists research quantum physics it seems that our whole reality is in fact merely a product of our own mind. That our mind power is in fact reality.
Eastern religions have demonstrated the power of meditation and mind power for centuries. With their definition of reality, real things were believed to exist because we have imagined it.
Ironically, in this age of information overload, scientists are still looking for answers on the connection between the thoughts in mind and reality. They go through ancient scrolls and text to conclude the true nature of reality.
Reality is then believed to be a product of our minds. Then it is only logical to think that if we need to make changes with our reality, we needs to start working with our thoughts first. To be able to change things, we need to first appeal to the power of the mind.
To do that, we need to first establish mental conditioning. Unnecessary and irrelevant thoughts must be separated from our hopes and dreams. Through meditation, you can effectively clear out your mind and start fresh.
To effectively meditate, try sitting on a comfortable chair in a darkened room. Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. Breathe in through your nose and out to your mouth. You may experience light headedness but it is only your body's natural reaction to the increase in its system's oxygen supply.
Start by picturing in your mind that you are sitting in front of a tranquil pond, full of small pebbles. These pebbles represent every day thoughts and ideas that are constantly entering and exiting your head. Picture yourself removing these random thoughts one by one, clearing them out. Once this is done, you are ready to unlock the power of the mind. One the one side you have a pile of these random thoughts, on the other you have another pile with wishes and wants.
Of course, wishing for causes like world peace and global warming is unreachable with only one person. But you can do your part in saving the planet by doing some recycling and waste segregation. However, wishing for dream jobs and happiness in love is something that you can achieve with the power of your mind. While the mind influences virtually all aspects of your life, it is you that controls your mind and make it work to bring all good things into your life.
If you are having trouble with your relationship and you hope to talk it out with your partner, the power of the mind can facilitate healing from all the pain, which may resolve your conflict. While it cannot bring your partner to actually talk to you, it can help you become a better communicator and a better partner for your partner.
Now realize that some things may happen right away, but other things take time. Unlocking the power of the mind does take some time, and you must overcome mental programming that says you can't. This is a very simple thing that you can start with.
Although the power of the mind is powerful enough to help you live your ideal self and ideal life, it still needs you to do your part. Hoping to work out a relationship without extending effort to actually talk with your partner will not make things any better. You have to remember, while your mind has the power to improve your life, it needs you to direct how those changes will ever come about.
