How to Treat Your Acne From Home
If you are one of the millions of people that suffer from acne on a daily basis, then you are probably still searching for a cure to get rid of it once and for all. This can be a very trying experience to keep buying products hoping and praying that one day you will wake up and the spots will finally be gone. Instead of spending money on your acne, you may be able to treat it right at home with things you most likely already possess in your kitchen.
Acne certainly is not a new condition that has recently begun to take over the world, it has been around since the evolution of mankind and think of how people treated their acne a hundred years ago. They certainly did not have access to all of the over the counter product lines and they definitely did not have any prescription treatments available to help them out. You can go visit a dermatologist, but you will have to pay for those visits and the prescriptions they give you which can be very expensive. Even though acne can be a very common condition, the health insurance companies are not very compassionate about helping their members seek treatments for it. They may pay for a small portion of your visit to the dermatologist, but they do not help paying for any laser treatments to cure it completely or to help reduce acne scars. If those treatments are too pricey for you then you are left trying to clear up your skin through the many over the counter product lines, which can be somewhat effective but most do not clear it up for good.
If you just take a few minutes to research what natural treatments can cure your specific type of acne, by looking in books at the local library or going on the internet you would be amazed at the amount of home treatments you can find. For example, many use an oatmeal mask to clear up blemishes and others use lemons to tone the skin and decrease the amount of grease on their faces. Bananas can also be used as a mask to leave on for a few minutes to clear up skin.
You can also use apple cider vinegar to cleanse the skin at night with a cotton ball and the amount of dirt you can see on the cotton ball after cleaning your skin will certainly surprise you. Others use toothpaste to help get rid of stubborn blemishes that can leave scarring or redness. They use a small drop of toothpaste 9not the gel form it must be the paste kind) on their blemishes as a spot treatment and leave it on over night. Many people have stated they woke up to a much smaller and less red blemish the following morning. The toothpaste forces the blemish to dry out and it begins to heal and decrease in size much faster than if you left it untreated.
